It is impossible to think of a gaucho without his knife! In ‘a gaucho’s tradition’, the gaucho knife can be used as protection, to cut meat to be consumed or as a shaving razor, but above all, it is a working tool! Among its many tasks as a tool, it is used to; butcher, skin, dehorn, trim horses’ hooves, castrate, or to obtain thin strands of a hide to braid ropes for their daily work.
