Description
The natural bone handle is the heart of this gaucho knife. Its warm ivory coloring, delicate grain and individual markings give every piece a character of its own—organic, tactile and impossible to reproduce exactly.
Alpaca silver fittings frame the bone at the bolster and butt, adding weight and definition while allowing the natural material to remain the focus. The contrast is distinctly Argentine: refined metalwork surrounding a handle whose beauty comes from nature rather than ornament alone.
The choice of sheath changes the expression of the piece. Chocolate brown cowhide gives it a rich, polished finish, while rawhide brings forward its more traditional gaucho character. Both are handcrafted in Argentina to accompany and protect the same full-tang Schmieden stainless steel knife.
No two natural bone handles are precisely alike. Variations in tone, grain and surface markings are what make each knife singular.
