Handmade in Tandil, Argentina, a providence just south of ‘the capital’ / Buenos Aires, that is world renowned for their specialty, hand crafted Gaucho knives. They say; … ‘all the best handmade knives, from Argentina, come from Tandil’ ! The Gaucho knives presented in this listing are each crafted with a specialty handmade of exotic Argentine hardwood and polished bone. Each with an exotic Argentine hardwood and polished bone. Measuring slightly over 10” in total length with a 14cm (5.5”) stainless steel, full tang, Pampeana blade, polished bone, solid brass spacers and butt end. Blade cover / scarab is a hand cut Argentine cowhide leather for storing or carrying. The exotic hardwoods used are as follow; Patagonian Rosewood with bone, (top), Lignum Vitae / aka ‘Argentine Wood’ with bone, (center), Tipa tree wood hardwood with bone, (bottom) And in photograph with the ‘yellow woods’, those are of ‘Argentine Osage wood’ aka Osage Orange, aka Guatemalan Tigerwood. (the latter; Guatemalan Tigerwood is from a northern providence of Argentina, not Guatemala)
