This keychain is 100% handmade from rawhide cowhide leather, expertly braided by skilled Argentinian artisans in Buenos Aires or nearby provinces. Crafted with the same techniques used for decades by South American cowboys, known as “Gauchos,” this piece carries a rich tradition.
Designed with loops at both ends, it easily attaches to belts, belt loops, or key rings. The keychain measures 23” in length, with button tabs at each end measuring approximately 2.25”. Each tab features a braided knot, known as a ‘Pricilla,’ which functions as a button for opening and closing. Additionally, there are 10 round braided knots traditionally used for counting livestock, typically cattle.
