ARGENTINIAN GAUCHO FIXED BLADE KNIFE – HAND BRAIDED RAWHIDE LEATHER HANDLE – MM-37

A working piece of art! Cuchillo, Gaucho knife with a braided +20 strands of rawhide leather handle in chocolate brown and ivory woven designs. These pieces are all done by hand and imported from Buenos Aires, Argentina. 14cm Stainless steel, full tang, spear tipped, ‘Nandu’ knife blade with hand stitched Argentine cowhide leather blade sheath. Accented with alpaca silver and beautifully finished. A handsome piece for using, displaying or collecting.

Note: Each braided handle has its own unique pattern, no two are exactly the same, however they are very similar to photos shown here. Each piece is individually crafted by the skilled hands of the Argentine knife makers, who to this day still use ‘the old-world techniques’ which have been practiced by many generations. (Actually, since the Spanish Conquerors introduced these handsome pieces in the mid 1500’s to Argentina). Each knife if balanced to perfection, therefor this knife can be used by either a right or left handle user. Choose your handle design below.
